As you know the car went back up to MNR for some work (snagging)
Safe to say it’s now all sorted and back on the road. Collection on Saturday. After the relay cock up I also had the following done...
Fuel filler adjustment as fuel ran out of the neck and down the car and sat in the rear diffuser.
All brakes properly bleed. I had spongey brakes.
Harness holes drilled through sides of seat as the lap belts wouldn’t tighten round my waist enough coming over the top of the seat.
Crotch strap bolt added
Master kill switch moved from under passenger dash onto dash were I can reach it strapped in
Geartronics gear position indicator fitted. AIM wheel uses rpm, speed and wheel size to tell you which gear your in...and was very accurate but it doesn’t know when your in neutral which is needed most on a gear indicator on a 5 up 1 down sequential box.
Towing eye to front of car.

So all is complete and about time I got some miles on the car now...

Good luck Lee. About time you got some Smiles on the car too! How many miles have you managed? Have you been trailering the car back up North?

Will you be out on a breakfast run soon? I’d love to see the new machine that was built in my home town. :D

Do you have a running in program to put the car through? Any checks or things they’ve said to do? Does it have to go back for a first service and check up or is this it?

Other than an internal kill switch what other “race” modifications/additions have you had fitted?

I had a front tow hook and extra band both welded on to the chassis during manufacture of my new car. The latter to allow the 6 point harnesses crotch straps to be fitted.

I tried to learn all the lessons from the “if I’d built this I’d have done x, y & z” on my old car. I’m hoping I’ve not forgotten anything! And I don’t sit down and think b*gger I wish I’d done a, b & c.

Sorry for all the questions. I hope you have a great time hooning about in your new chariot.

Chris

Nice one Lee! Bet you can't wait for Saturday!

Didn't realise your mag feature was coming out so soon. I've gotta have a look at that.

I’m not sure they got your “good side” Lee?

Surely one for the caption competition.
