Re: Busa bites back
The way they have modified Neil's car looked great when I went up for my MOT last week. Your car will be in good hands

They did a first rate job on mine so I'm sure yours will be back to good health very soon. It makes you feel much better to know it's being fixed.

Soon be back on the road as good as new if not better . Strange Westfield wont sell anything for a car that needs to be welded in place not even the suspension mounting point.

Nice one Steve. As others have said, you’ll get a proper job done from a team that really understand these cars.
Hopefully see you back on the road soon.

Re: Busa bites back
So after some research I came across Siltech Racing in Norfolk
http://www.motorcardirectory.co.uk/siltech-racing
It's a father an son business and they specialise in racing Westfields and similar cars, in particular the suspension components. They've also made a jig for the Westfield chassis and do a lot of repairs on the race cars so after a call to Snodhurst I decided to let Siltech have the chassis. The car went up there this morning and should be done in a couple of weeks, they'll fabricate a complete new front end and join it close to the bulkhead. I'm still after a front top and bottom wish bone if anyone has one? Siltech tried to sell me their own but it would mean a set of 4 and the price was out of my budget what with all the other expense. It's tempting to go for a wide track but for now I just want to get the car back the way it was and back on the road.

Is that their front suspension on the car in the picture? I'm no expert, but I can't say I'm impressed

Re: Busa bites back
I collected the car from Siltech this morning and it looks like they've done a very nice job. The car has had a complete new front end fabricated on their jig and spliced on just if front of the bulkhead. I've got all the other parts I need now apart from the new nose cone and rear wheel arch which are coming from Westfield (they should be ready for Christmas if I'm lucky). If the car's ready before they arrive I'll just bodge something up from the smashed up bits I saved to get me back on the road.
Should keep me busy for the weekend!
