Mike, make sure it is sorted by Merc as I have heard that none factory repaired cars are having difficulties with insurance along the line with insurance companies trying to avoid paying out.

Spoke to the accident management company again today told them the above, mentioned the high voltage cables etc and said I didn't want any comeback from Merc or anyone for that matter for improper repairs or anyone electrocuting themselves.

Having another bash on the CAD, to hopefully draw the new brackets for the rear brakes. Once done the hope is they can be made from the file. Hub carrier below, probably the most tricky bit. (I'm not doing the bearings!!)

Why are you changing the hubs carriers ? we have different brackets for them in one of my many boxes at work

Refurbing the spare set with new bearings, just as easy to make the brackets for the spare set then swap it all out once everything is ready. Drawing up all the bits, so I can virtually assemble the parts and get the bracket design and dimensions spot on. good practice on the CAD and beats talking to the mother in law.

Looks dodgy where I've ringed, but I guess it's not these bits you're having made?
If you want a second pair of eyes to look at your design, I'd be happy to help. Should be able to open most file types either at home or at work.

Thanks Tony, the filleting's gone all the way round, I did it before I added the main bearing body on top. Not critical as its an existing part. Be nice to get it right though, so will have another play with it.

Tony, that means a lot to me, thanks. I couldn't get my head round the working environment initially so your assistance was invaluable in getting me going, still a massive learning curve though. Its good to work on something real rather than practicing for practice sake.
