I did, but one of them was cream crackered anyway - I could fish them out I suppose, was it worth selling them?

Clutch slave just popped it's clogs, so after a shitty, stressy drive through Medway towns rush hour traffic with little to no clutch, it's Snodhurst to the rescue with a much needed cuppa... and fitting me in at very short notice!

Thank you!

Its part of the charm of an older car

Worth checking the throttle cable too, mine broke on my first Midget. Well before the days of mobiles, so I unhooked the choke cable and hooked it up to the throttle linkage. Seemed a good idea until I had to brake, steer, change gear and reduce the engine revs..........

Yep - all good now :)

Buzzing through the tin top traffic again, rather than holding it up ;)

So this weeks problem was running out of electrickery on Monday morning!
Didn't take long to work out that an alternator putting out 11.3v probably wasn't helping matters - so a new one fitted Tuesday, nice to be able to get to everything so easily! Back to 14.2v, amazing how much better everything works when it gets a decent voltage, who'd have thought...

Not hard to spot the new bit in there!

So - Friday's problem is the starter motor binding.
Not sure whats going on yet, last night rocking the car in gear free'd it up, this morning just selecting 1st with the clutch in was enough to free it.
Answers on a postcard please!

To be fair, it was on my list to look for a reduction gear starter, or just a newer high torque one, as the 40yo one is not looking it's best

That exact thing happened to me in mine Tony and yes.... lots of fun driving home with the choke cable!
