Really building momentum now; affixed all the glazing today and buttoned up the alcantara dash. LED headlights to bolt in tonight!

Suspension alignment tomorrow morning and then final fit of the seats and drop the rear clip in place.

Just to help you get the last push done. I am about to book Donington Park for the 18 June. It would be good to have a couple of Ultimas on the track day (you will need to check your noise level). :D :D

Probably won’t have the registration through by then to honest Crunchie. I’d love to but my first few outings will be pottering about as I’ve got a long list of things I want to change after IVA. Then I’ll go track blasting.

Got the new Evolution headlights in this evening...

A bit ‘Mulsanne flash’ with the LED driver units. 8-)

Love the flash to pass config on the lights Sam but be careful, I was advised that config doesn’t do much for the life of the LED’s?

Which hacked me off as who doesn’t want flash to pass!!!!

So I completed the build near enough yesterday and set the alignment up.

Just a few tweaks to the exhaust grille surrounds to level them off, shorten the seat belt tails and drop the seats in.

Really need to update this thread in the initial post as we’re missing the engine build stage amongst other things!

So yesterday the car passed it’s IVA. :D

A couple of issues on the early morning shakedown run; throttle cable end barrel worked loose and the alternator output post nut spun free causing an intermittent power cut to the EFI carb!

Drove the 40 miles there, speedo was mega keen (irratic 246mph) so had to make a stronger bracket at the station from the support vehicle supplies and tools I had loaded up. Fitted it and the test showed to be within 1mph of the roller calibration speed.

Noise limits were as close as you’d like to get! Phew!

Got the golden ticket and hope to send off the registration application tomorrow.

The return drive improved as the EFi has started to learn and adjust itself accordingly. Now to get the car properly finished for the road. Carbon fibre goodies soon.

Thanks guys! I’ve just sent the registration application off.

No idea on the current wait time but I’ll expect 6 weeks and anything less is a bonus.

Gives me time now to make a few alterations and get the 4x4 IVA ramp geometry lowered to normal and corner weights resolved.
