Waiting nervously on your response....all this nostalgia made me but a Brooklands Green one today ....well you give a man two workshops and whatcha gonna do :D

Mine is all good again.
Had to have a fairly major wiring overhaul weekend before last after my small electrical fire leaving Snodhurst the other day :o
Pulled out of Snodhurst, put the indicator on to turn into the road and the cabin filled with white noxious smoke! Genuine Lucas wiring loom smoke, it isn't mythical ;)

Anyway, long story short is a rebuilt fusebox, years of questionable 'modifications' by PO's stripped out, and it suddenly works 1000 times better :lol:

Had my first full week's motoring without a breakdown last week!

MG Midget 1500 - broken gearbox!

Wow I'll bare that in mind and keep a little extinguisher to hand. Tbh I always do in modified cars :D
