All the more likely as I used the sharpest kitchen scissors to cut the mat (with gloves covered in resin), trimmed crispy bacon off the roast chicken anyone?

Mrs T has mitigated the 'missing' scissors scenario by buying additional pairs (lots) until any visit to kitchen drawer always yields a pair. Even less incentive to return them from fabrication duties and I now have a choice!

Swmbo caught me with an expensive chef knife outside having used it to slice through some gorilla tape (attached to the car). “Don’t even think about it, no I haven’t and yes it’ll clean up fine, I’ll put it back now.” .. Was my response before she opened her mouth..
Power.. small nail, fast hammer, Torque.. small nail, big hammer.. I got a big hammer :P

Rear arch before repair.

Red is the paint that rubbed off the Barrier!

Roughly reconstructed with makeshift brackets and self tapping screws.

Back surfaces keyed with Screwfix paint removal tool that was so effective on chassis. Wire knot wheel was useless as it just polished the high spots.

After this some GRP was laid up on the rear and then the brackets could be removed.

Many iterations of filling and sanding it is nearly there.

Now painted. Unfortunately this is not the end. A mould needs to be taken, this arch cut out and then a new one laid up. It looks sound but is demlaninated in places and for sure splits in the gel coat that have been filled will surely open up if driven. So, tomorrow it is out with the T-Cut and then a mould taken. I'm going for a split mould so that it does not lock itself around the arch.

Edit: Mrs T was a bit concerned the garage had been set up for a gruesome crime.
