ok,ok,ok yes i know, another Tyre discussion but i generally haven't got a clue !!!
My Tiger S6, I'm not a nutter when it comes to driving my car, i want a general all purpose tyre. I know quite a few of you have r888 etc but i haven't got that sort of money, and to probably only get 2-3 years out of them ?
I have yokoham's on mine at the moment and they seem fine, Tony T has Yoko's A-021R and he swears by them.
I know Russ was having a good look at tyres last year, what did you settle on Russ ?
So i need a all weather tyre that would be ok to go on a track day with.

You running 15" wheels Col? I still think the Nankang NS-2R are a good tyre for the money, currently £57 per corner at Tyreleader:

How do you find them in the wet ? They don't seem to have a good * rating for wet use.

Don’t pay much attention to those reviews, heavy tintops experience tyres very differently to light kit cars. Personally I’ve had good experiences of the NS-2R in heavy rain on the motorway. They did surprisingly well even in standing water. Have used them on track too in damp conditions with no significant issues to report given they’re not strictly a ‘wet tyre’. Would buy them again, but have also been happy with the R1Rs in the past too. Both good tyres IMO.

I'm running uniroyal rain sport 3 on my car they seem fine in all weather. I don't have trouble with grip from them, yes you may get a little more from a r888 etc but I'm tight and these are cheaper . I think in 14's they are rainexpert which I did have on my car till I changed to 15's. My old wheels are in the garage if you are on ford stud pattern and want to try them although there's only 3 uniroyal's and 1 Avon on them as I blew a tyre on a road trip and that was all I could get to get me going again

Colin, if you are on 14’s then R1R’s are out as they don’t start til 15”.

Go 13” or 15” would be my advice if possible. It opens more tyre choices and improves both the handling and or looks

I have Rain Expert 3 tyres on 14 inch wheels (185 x60) on my car. They are not the grippiest tyres, but I would describe them as safe and fun. I've done dry trackdays where they seemed to hold up better than my old original Rain Experts, and it's niceto know that they are good in the wet too

Thanks everyone for your inputs. I would rather keep my 14” wheels as I only get them last year, ok that may limit my options but with what I have on this post I should get something that will do.
