Perfect for that sort of thing rich, self isolation, small amount of family balance and hopefully you’ll get a bit of a push on with the build, good luck mate

Thanks for the comments and advise one and all

The first coat on the items I have done seemed to go on well enough. Planning to build up with plenty of light layers to avoid runs but it is so easy to want to be a trigger happy painting god when you have a bit of very expensive paint left in the pot that will only go to waste

I am trying to keep the exact colour scheme a proper secret at present so rather hard to do that Rob.

Well done Rich, looking forward to see what colour and finish you get. Hopefully you can get a good run at the car for a good few days now.

Not another pink car?
wondered why you'd asked Neil for a RAL colour code

If I do organise a day to help me finish it off you all got to wear some blindfolds and work by touch only

Bored waiting for paint to flash off before sneaking on a bit more.

Well day 2 of the spraying yesterday did not go as well as day 1.
With a full pot of paint I noticed the juddering of the gun and played with the fan and air pressure on the gun to try to overcome it, I did notice that I was struggling to turn the cap on the front to change the fan orientation.
Upon taking the gun apart for the required cleaning after every spray I realised I had not tightened the guts correctly upsetting the air settings.
Days 3, before starting the resultant finish from the previous day was crap as if a reaction to non like chemicals but I decided to leave it as it was the second of the two lighter coats and went for a heavy coat today, hoping that once I give it a while to dry and a light sand to get a decent surface and another decent coat all will be good?
