Well done Rich, and for confirming for me about filter types

Needed to carry out an alteration to one half of the rear underguard where I have changed the fuel filter arrangements and once done was given a coating of primer and satin black.
This I fitted tonight's as well as fitting the sump guard which I still have reservations about how low it is but time will tell as getting closer to the reborn car first full on SKCC breckie blat.

Had a cracking run yesterday that spured me to post this on Face book yesterday

Well today marks a big step in that it has been the first time that Eleanor my scratch built 7 type kit car has been on a SKCC Southern Kit Car Club breckie run for over 4 years having previously been a regular attender. During the lay up time the car has undergone a complete nut and bolt strip down, restoration and alterations including changing engine type, control gear, chassis repairs, strengthening, home built full roll cage, manufacture and fabrication of body panels, upto and including my first time painting a car with the new colour scheme, flating, polishing the protecting it afterwards in a DIY paint booth.
Getting back into DIY powder coating in a home built oven. Covid had delaid the car getting all the geo and ECU set up and there have been many stumbling and false starts thus far to get me and the car to where we are today that I recon is 90 percent there as far as the engine performance is concerned with even a few more small non engine things emerging today during the 80 odd mile route.
I would like to go on record to thank all those that have given words of support and encouragement and physical support the past 4 years especially to Matthew Haines for his tireless repeated efforts ( and misses Matt ), Kev Ellis, Duncan Underhay, Jason, Colin Ludlam, John Mills, Dave Thomas for the use of the Robin Hood that has kept me sane , plus Vera Mills, Sarah Roberts other family and friends.

Well done Rich, am sure we're all very pleased to hear your engine swap is very nearly all sorted. I'll be trying to do something similar soon, hopefully over the winter.

Not been out for a few weeks for non car related reasons, with a holiday looming I decided I needed to get some more miles on the car to slowly build confidence and be at one with it.
All prepared yesterday afternoon and an old itn selected, was a toss up between a beachy head or Lydd ring military road route with the later wining.
Dark and cold start run to the caravan place and on my own today with others having commitments or on tour.
Def need to break out the jacket, snood and gloves next time.
Very little traffic and Nice little run although could have done with less single track roads with high hedgerows, little bit of low sun but car performed faultless and managed 114 miles before I topped up on the 145 miles route from home to Frank fisheries, bonnet never came off and it started reasonable easy in the few occasions I had to restart it.
Nice wash once home after approx 180 miles, few things that would do with a little attention, but that kit cars for you.

nice one Rich, and yeah, you're right - it is a bit nippy these last couple of days; Had to light the wood burner earlier!
