New Car for me too

just bought this little beast..
always fancied one after seeing the performance of Pauls before it was written off.

thats 5 cars we have on the drive now.... not as romantic as crunchies collection though :lol:

last of the original hot hatches...
collecting tommorrow for a long drive back from manchester.. :ugeek: :shock: :D :D

Lee, I used to have one of these a couple of years back, it was mildly tuned and was a blast to drive! Enjoy

never been in one, but they look/seem to go well, gonna hitch a ride on the GP circuit at Brands next month with a pal that tracks his one...

Nice mate. So is that the 182 version then?
These Clios seem to be the FWD car of choice on track days now. Followed quite a few cocking an inside rear wheel when cornering hard 8-)

yes 182 version.
done about 200 miles in it so far and its a hoot to drive. FSH and 75k on the clock. although its a renauilt so will likely fall apart soon. :lol:

make sure the cambelt has been done ,other then that mine was ok :D Ho and stiffer sprigs and mintex 1144 pads :lol:

Looks great. That car has been on my shortlist for a long time. My experience with French hatches is that they are light and handle very well. Downside is the materials are not as durable as the more premium brands, e.g. seat cloth. But then it would be heavier and not as good to drive!

I had a Clio 172 back in 2004.
like David said great engine/dynamics just poor interior.

Something that has annoyed me with the car...
The foot pedals are slightly of alignment with the seats so you feet are further right than they should be...maybe the french have funny hips? Lol
Also despite sliding the seat forward and having a bend in tbe knees the gears stick and centre console buttons are still too far away..you have to bend forward all the time which is a pain.
However it is an absolute hoot to drive and takes off at 4500 rpm and pulls all he way through to redline.
Il have this car till xmas then probably have a look at the old megane f1.
