Well...didnt take long for some gremlins to creep in..
Steve rst came uo to mine this weekend and the plan was to take tge cars out...unfortunately on saturday my car wouldnt start.. Initially thought it was battery related, charged it up. Wouldnt start. Fuel pumps not priming, checked fuses, checked relay...looks like relay is not sending signal to pumps. By passed relay and still wouldnt start...so we checked the injectors...on cranking no fuel coming from injectors...and no voltage on injecer plugs...
So to us that means ecu is telling pumps and injectors not to work. But why...whats changed since the weekend before?
For iva i beleive the immobilier has to cut 2 parameters and when activated i think its set to starter and spark.
What are peoples thoughts? Could the mbe ecu be set up so that if it cant read a cam or crank sensor it would cut both fuel pump and injectors?
I have spark but no fuel pump or injector on cranking. ??

I'm not sure if this helps, but my Caterham has an MBE ecu and the immobiliser cuts fuel and the starter.
Sorry to hear you've had a problem, but at least this sort of problem is usually easier to fix than an intermittent issue.

As I understand it, it just cuts the electric fuel pump power and starter solenoid only. Of course yours could be set up differently.

This is a big maybe but the same happened to me on the first alps tour on the way back, nothing worked, turned out to be an old wire in the steering column so my advice albeit limited is to check your wires, wiggle them etc as part of the investigation process, good luck , hope it’s sorted

I had a similar problem and the inertia switch had tripped. It was just the fuel pump that lost power in my case but worth checking I guess.

Steve where is and what does an inertia switch look like? Do they go if battery is flat? The amount of cranking i did dropped battery to about 12v

Mine is located between the fuel tank and the diff, its about 1" square with a rubber outer. It should only trip if you get a knock but mine tripped on the motorway once but never since. Might be worth checking if you have one and at least rule it out.

Sorry to hear you're still having issues, I am sure they will get them sorted for you. At least this time of the year you aren't missing any events and the weather is crap.
