James and I took the Roadster down to Cornwall a couple of years ago and caught the tail end of storm Katie in the way down. The Marlin hood had always been pretty good but on this occasion the wind was so strong that it blew the water in and along the top of the screen. Wasn't a pleasant trip!
Picture to prove it happened

Re: Car wash
why do these storms have such wimpy names?
the winds tear roofs off, uproot trees and then we find out that it was Storm Doris or Darren....FFS, can't they come up with a 'hard' name -

Haha! Love it.
You need to have it sync’d to a bit of this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PkxaunLybuM
I’d give you 8/10. Had you done that in an unroof’d, aeroscreen jobbie - that would have been turning it up to Spinal Tapping 11.

They name storms aphabetically, so the one we just had was Brendon so the next one has to start with a 'C'...

Yes and they alternate the names male then female too. We've had that conversation at home about the lack of "hard" names for these storms....
The Americans have been naming storms in this fashion for years..... Perhaps we need to honour them with a storm "Storming Norman"?
