Surprising news Mark, I hope it works out well for you. I don't suppose you'd swap it for an '04 VW Polo, it's a turbo, albeit a 1.4 Diesel
Tiger Cat E1 - 2008-2009
Tiger R6 - 2009-2014
Austin Healey Sprite - 2014-2018
Fisher Fury Le Mans - 2018-2019

Jaw did hit the floor when I saw it on the TOC forum! Good luck with the sale, whichever way it goes and glad that you're sticking about...

Late reply I know. Just catching up on the forum.

It’s a shame but sometimes these things have to be done.

Hope the sale went through ok. Hopefully you’ll be out and about in a new steed soon.

Another late reply mate! Why not do a build mate? Also btw I have taken 1.6 and 1.8 MX5s out on SKCC runs and lead 1 run and the guys all commented on how quick it was. No turbo B roads, good shocks and top tyres and brakes..... Just saying. Good luck in whatever you decide to do or buy mate. Youd be missed if you left!

haha, no - i won't be quitting here whatever i do with the car. Not sold it as yet, umpteen 'great' offers to swap/px; you name it i've been offered it! ( apart from anything which would be remotely relevant/interesting).
I realise that it's quite specialised, well more so than many others due to the spec and 'missing' bits such as windscreen etc..so will probs take it off sale in a week or two and revisit next year.

@ John. build? me? you obvs don't read the non motoring part of the forum
i could destroy, but not build.
as for a boggo standard mx5, yep agree that they handle well - but would miss the ability to overtake with the ease that the power of the tiger. Not so much on a sunday morning, but on tour etc.
