Pace of life....

Well it's early days up here in wet n windy suffolk - but have put feelers out to get involved in a few car related activities; With the idea of meeting new folks.

Seems that the pace of life is somewhat different to 'Darn Sarf'.
A guy set up a new 'club' on FB for car drives in Suffolk - err, its called 'Cars n Coffee'.

Their first drive was this past Sunday, and I couldn't attend but;
Started at 9am, did 1.5hrs and ended up at a coffee place.
Was due to be follow the leader but at the last minute they issued some form of google map.
I may have to suggest something more substantial than a coffee ;-)

Joined an mx5 fb group that covers the area a little north of here...
'oh no, we generally just follow the car in front'
'keep a look out, there should be some more runs posted next Spring'

wonder if they can be persuaded to adopt ITN's and radios :-)

Most of the country would still consider Suffolk as 'south' ;)

Personally, a 9am start and coffee is my ideal run as well... I still can't do these 6am starts... :?

well aside from the fact that the s/east is choked with traffic by 9 ( kent/surrey/sussex), i'd agree that 9am is more civilized; Then again, by the time one gets home its chewed into the day - add in footie/motorsport/whatever else and that's a full day.

Good to hear you are settling in. Following the car in front makes for a stressful run. My first SKCC run from Bodiam to Eastbourne was like that and was utter chaos :lol: Fortunately I knew the roads and caught up by using a quicker route twice!

Yes, very true... I watched a video which basically said that whether you're a morning person or an evening (late riser) person is all decided by genes and almost impossible to change, so I'm screwed... :D
