Another project

About 8 years ago I sold my Spartan when I bought the MK. A few weeks ago the guy I sold it to contacted me to see if I was interested in buying it back as he can no longer drive it due to medical problems.
It’s been sat for around 18 months apparently since he had a op and has been waiting to get feeling back in his foot (which hasn’t happened)
It needs a good going over and sorting out but hopefully I will have it back on the road fairly soon. In the pic it’s got the hardtop on which I doubt I’ll ever use but had to put it somewhere to get it all home.

Yes we’ve got 2 meetings left, 28th October and 18th November. I’m hoping to have it driveable in the next few weeks, then worry about tidying it up later

If I remember correctly you rebuilt the engine and gearbox didn't you Matt?

I hope you don't find much wrong, it will be nice seeing her on the road again.

Yes I done the engine, gearbox and suspension.
It looks like he has rewired it and he said it had recently had new brakes ( but it hasn’t moved for at least 18 months and been sat outside ) so I think I just need to give the whole car a once over.
I have freed off the clutch pedal it turned out to be the slave stuck and the pivot on it rusted up.

Blimey Matt, I remember a ride to brands hatch in it with you years ago, passing Duncan going in the opposite direction. I remember it being surprisingly spritely, it'll be good to see it going again. Didn't your dad have one too?

For what it looks like it used to go really well didn’t it, hopefully it’s still as it was once it’s all sorted.
Yes he did have one too he sold it and it went out to France.

I put the car back down on the floor last night so I could check and see if the clutch has stuck to the flywheel and it seemed ok so with a small splash of fresh fuel in it I tried it down my road last night, all the gears and brakes seem ok but it does want a bit of a tune up
