rolling road tuning

Postby stevem2727 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 3:51 pm

Hi i have just finished fitting a 2.2 pinto to my mk and am looking for somewhere with a rolling road to have it all set up. I used a place in Crawley last year and was not impressed,so hoping someone on here can recommend somewhere that is more familiar with the basic pinto rather than the japanese stuff.I dont mind travelling to find the right place, thanks all in advance cheers

From what i've heard a good guy to try is Aaron at HT Racing at Brands Hatch. He's well known as a Ford 4 Pot specialist, rebuilds, upgrades and has a rolling road.......if you try to ring him - he's a one man band and often flat out. Really nice guy. He ironed out a flat spot on my zetec the other day.

Gerald Dale Motorsports near Battle. famous for terrifying Dan (contaminated) and me a month ago as RR virgins. Really knows what he is doing and £100 a go. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFRyaPlWV4I

If you're running Webbers or Delortos then Gerald Dale is definitely the place to go; apparently he's not so hot on TBs though.

I'd also recommend Gerald Dale, but there's also a bloke at Sussex Performance Cars in Horsham who's meant to know Pintos inside out.

I've heard this from a couple of sources, his name is Ike, might be worth a call to them

That's unfortunate but a sign of the times I guess. I think we need to look for rolling roads that deal with the most modern engines as well as the older ones.

Joe "spotty youth" will be happy to spend all his income tuning his Corsa.

Unfortunately they tend to be the ones that just do "power runs" and don't really care too much about the car and how to tune it properly.

I'm gonna probably have to find one that does megasquirt tuning in Kent, which apparently is a bit of a challenge.

Megasquirt isn't that well supported on RR's I believe.

Dave my next door neighbour has a Power Commander on his bike. Is that a transferable medium?
