Tyres

Postby headshot_harry » Fri Aug 31, 2012 9:40 am

Possibly going to need a new pair of rear tyres fairly soon (205/60/13).

Anyone know of:

  • Not top of the range, but decent tyre to recommend
  • Place to get hold of them without rendering me broke

Many thanks :-D

think this question has come up a few times over the past year.......
from memory Yoko's seemed to be a fav, can't recall which though!
as for tyre suppliers - camskill always worth a shot - they deliver to you or your 'pet' garage and you get them fitted, blackcircles deliver to an approved garage that's on their scheme and the fitting is inc in the price.

Thanks Mark, is there a discount code to use, or is price as given?

I see Camskill have these in the size I need: Toyo R 610A, which are about £61 a tyre.

Mate, that's a worry, you haven't even got your car yet! Seems like your tyre wear is potentially worse even than my husband's (zxr400) :o :o

What they all said about Camskill though...

Harry, i have a code but its only for the higher end toyos/yokos......ie/ 888's/r1r, pm me as/when you need it.
without peeing on your parade - those tyres you mentioned look, err a bit 'generic'......is there a reason why you looked at those? in the toyo range i'd be looking at the tr1 if they do those in the size you want - and in yoko the '21'
or federal 595rs......

Cheers Mark, I looked at those as they were the most expensive they had in the size I need (205/60/13).

They didn't have much else (Nankang XR 611, Falken ZE912 Ziex or the Toyo R610)
