Reccomend me a road tyre please!
Must be 185/60/14, for touring use rather than solely trackday use where I use 888's or 48's. Although our tours generally turn into 10 day trackdays, and thats the problem, I have always used Yokohama AO21R's for general use and they hit all criteria, but at £350 a set they are legally marginal after 2,500 miles on the road. So can anyone reccomend an alternative that will be similar but last a bit longer? I am tempted to try Toyo T1R's but worry they might not suit the lightweight car (440kg) as they are designed for heavier cars. I had Avon ZV3's from a Caterham but they felt like I had bolted a spacehopper to each corner until I stuck another 7 psi in them, by which time the ride was destroyed. And they were not very grippy anyway.Any ideas?? Good enough to drive on a trackday if need be but mainly road, what do you use?

Lee, i know a few guys who use the TR1's on 7'esque type cars and like them and they're as cheap as chips at £130 a set. I went for the R1R toyo, the relatively new one that sits between the 888's and the TR1. Noticeably soft compared to a TR1 but nowhere near as hardcore as the 888. Really pleased but cant tell how they'll last. I'd be comfortable doing a track day on them if i couldnt be bothered swapping the wheels to the t/d ones......we have a discount in the members section......

I changed from Bridgestone Potenza S-03s (still have them actually) to Toyo T1-Rs and the latter suit the car much better. For the money they are unbeatable in my view. That said you want an odd size so I doubt you'll get a deal. The nearest camskill have are these:

If it was me, for touring on a light car, and it had to be that size I'd go for the Toyo CF-1. Cheap as you like too!
