Just finished fitting a "plumbed in" extinguisher into the car. It is a Lifeline 2000 2.25lt MSA/FIA approved system with two nozzles which I have pointing either side of the engine, two pull activator handles one in the dash where I can reach with the harness on and one outside the car near the mirrors. Rally Designs are doing a deal of Lifeline 2000 extinguishers at the moment and this one cost £79.

I work on the basis that it gives me a chance to stop the car and get out before it goes up completely in flames....which is worth every penny of the £79 if it happens. I don't expect it to stop it burning just enough time to get out.
It is this one

In the great scheme of things all the hot stuff is in the front and the fuel is in the back...so a fuel tank fire is unlikely I would have thought.
