I really liked the idea of Tiff Needell writing for CKC and in principle I still think it is a major coup for him to do it BUT...... the articles so far haven't inspired me. I don't know that his column's have done more for kitcars or the scene at this point. I know its early days but I was hoping for more impact.
Am I a million miles wde of the mark or is anyone else feeling it to?
.........Neil
PS sorry Adam, I don't mean to be rude but I want this to work for the mag and the kitcar scene as much as you do.

erm have to agree Neil, admittedly at this point only just scan read this months offering, but failed to grasp anything of merit....like you say, with Tiff onboard would be nice to make sure that the 'scene' gets added value...

Re: Tiff in CKC
I haven't read any of his offerings yet but it's early days so hopefully it'll improve. But it's going to depend on how passionate he is about kitcars!

Re: Tiff in CKC
Interesting actually. I think that currently CKC is regarded as the best kit car mag. In last month's (possibly current) issue the Editor of TKC got a letter moaning about repitition and went to huge lengths to compare to CKC. I have to admit there isn't an awful lot to read in TKC when you remove the ads and old articles.

More info on here or LCB.
I could not have built my kit without LCB and links to other sites.

Re: Tiff in CKC
Only just picked up this thread. It's early days in our involvement with Tiff and a learning process for both parties. In some respects, his involvement with the magazine is there to attract new people to the scene who may not have considered buying a magazine otherwise. As such, it's then up to the overall contents of the magazine to inspire them to look further and perhaps buy a kit car and join you guys at shows and events.
If that is what's happening, then his involvement will have served its core purpose. For regular readers, I suspect there will be some months where his column will be of interest and others when it may not. And we're just as interested as you to see how it develops over the coming months. If nothing else, as a consequence of CKC working with Tiff, he now receives a copy of the mag every month. Who knows what that may lead to in terms of future national coverage for the kit industry (be that via TV or some other medium)?
