Oh well, a decision has had to be made, I got underneath it to have a closer look at the sump and although it could be repaired with chemical metal it really needs a small weld, unfortunatley I cant get the sump off without removing the bell housing and as the engine needs to come out anyway for some other mods I might as well retire her until I start to do all of those
Gutted cos I was looking forward to a few more outings before the winter !
List of things to do!
Remove, repair and replace the sump.
Fit the nice lightened flywheel Jeff sold to me
fix the slight oil leak coming from the gearbox (which is a worry as I have no idea where this is coming from)
Replace the bottom hose that has a slight leak (only found when it dripped it my eye whilst I was underneath!)
Buy a new Denso alternator and fabricate some new brackets to fit it neater.
Try and replace the bike TBs with Jenveys if I can get them cheap enough.
Repaint the chassis whilst the engines out
remove, and respray them bones (making sure theyre hidden when Bryan pops round)
Check bushes and copper grease em up
Replace nosecone, front arches and rear arches with nice new Kawasaki green ones
Fit new diffuser
remove windscreen and fit fly screen
Think about and fit the vinyl wrap on the bonnet and scuttle
repaint hoops because theyre BRG and wont match the new coulour
redo new dash to match new coulour (probably in carbon fibre)
redo tunnel and sides
redo boot lid
and anything else that I find when I'm doing the above !!
No choice, its retired and needs repairs !!

all depends if you hurry up and buy that engine of GBS so you can pick up all my new parts from them
Seriously I havent a clue, the shoulders not good enough yet to start doing heavy stuff, I reckon that it'll be another 3 or 4 weeks before I can start it, Ive got October half term week off on leave so the plan is to get it finished by the end of that.
