Like Graham my PC680 is 220 I think. With a very short lead from battery to starter it absolutely whizzed round, even when cold. Now, with a longer cable run to/from the kill switch it is very sluggish when cold, but as good as before when warm.

So, how long's your cable? If that's not a personal question.

Are your contacts clean? Ooo, still personal?

thats really interesting Dave as yes i do have a battery cut off switch... so the last time i looked my cable was long..
always seemed to have issues with cca on whatever battery i buy.. so if i by passed the cut off switch i could test it that way?

Take the 2 wires off the battery cut off switch and bolt them together and give it a try. Some of these cut off switches are crap have seen them to hot to touch when cranking the engine over

thanks dick
:D
might save me the cost for the upgrade to the 360amp lithium from 240.. im guessing 240 should work fine... starter has been off and tested and all ok there so it might just be the kill switch.. hope so.. if it is it will be a revolution after 5 years of poor cold cranking..

Just to put an end to this post it would seem the CCA of original lithium wasn't enough.. All wiring ok on switches and voltage getting through ok so.....
Switched to the 360cca lithium battery this week and wowzers it cranks as it should on the button everytime.
