Spluttering zetec
Hi guys started my silvertop today and its spluttering like mad hasnt been driven over the winter but was fine before. When you rev the car it will then splutter after and the revs drop right down and occasionally just stalls?! Any ideas guys

bit more info might be helpful to the clever people;
running carbs? injection? bike carbs? ecu/ignition? last mapped?

My bad yeah those bits would help its running injection and a mondeo ecu. I was thinking it could be the maf sensor needing a clean?

Check all the connections, especially earths, clean the plugs, check your fuel, has it sat all winter in your tank? Is your fuel filter clean?

Fuel has been in all winter yes. The maf i had unplugged for a while and had been running the engine in the garage before without this. Now i have re connected its spluttering

Also check for air leaks on the gaskets??

After a few hours of it cutting out and fluctuating at idle it settled down and after a good blast around beachy head shes running smoothly again. Roll on summer
