I have unfortunately missed a few runs this year as I was late starting some upgrades on my car. Its all done now and I thought that some of you might be interested what I have done as a couple of the items are really handy for kit car owners.
Firstly I decided I wanted a carbon dash but they werent available when I built the car. I have since found that Mark at http://www.carbon-nv.co.uk/products.html was doing dashboards and other bits for Westfields mainly but he is branching out into other makes.
The dash replacement prompted me to replace my original dash switches....
I then discovered that someone on the WSCC was making a product called Blinkstop http://rowland-family.asuscomm.com/BlinkStop/
Basically the unit is a smart switch, it can be used with the standard toggle switch or a momentary switch (as I have now fitted) operating the indicators now makes them flash for 12 seconds and then they turn off,if you have your foot on the brake the indicators stay flashing and will then turn off 6 seconds after the brake is released. You can overide the direction change by a simple press of the switch, press again and it turns off.
After looking round Grahams new Caterham I realised that they use some form of control for the lighting and you can turn the side/dipped lights on using a momentary switch. I spoke to Mike at Blinkstop and he managed to change the software on his Beamstop unit to replicate the function that Caterham have on their cars but I would imagine at a fraction of the price.
Beamstop also gives you the flash function from your main beam button. Something that was never an option on a Westield.
If anyone is interested I will take a video of the Blink and Beamstop in action

Re: Blinkstop fitted
Hopefully this video shows the indicator function a little better.
