Any ideas for a GoPro mount that dampens vibrations? Have been attaching it to the roll bar as gives a good view, but the picture suffers from vibration. I've seen plenty of rock solid videos from a similar vantage point, what do you guys use?
Cheers
Andy

Re: Gopro mount
I use the standard Go Pro roll bar mount (copies are available):

And one of these. Manfrotto 035 Super Clamp. It's a very robust piece of kit, originally used to hold up studio lighting. Price has come down somewhat these days, you can get them easily for £20 new.

The difference mount wise is that the GoPro case will obviously fit directly onto the GoPro mount. The Manfrotto needs an "intermediary". You can get one of these, a "stud".

This locks, very securely into the clamp giving it a tripod bush, effectively, which means you can use one if these to get your GoPro to fit

Might seem convaluted, but it's rock solid. However, what you may well still get from this second set up is a kind of oscillating effect when your car is stationery - but who cares about stationery footage. That goes when you're on the move.
What you need to avoid is "scaffolding", extending your camera a way from the actual mount on the roll bar. Introduces sope for wobbles. GoPro's own extension links are not so good in this instance. However, if you need or just want to position your camera away from the roll bar mount, there are a couple of options here. I've been trying these:
http://joby.com/action-clamp-locking-arm
http://joby.com/action-clamp-gorillapod-arm
The arms, not the clamp. That's ribbing on a roll bar. Both of these are very solid, screw straight into the Manfrotto clamp, and allow you to angle your GoPro how you want. Although you need that tripod to GoPro adaptor for both.
Other tips are - and I know if sounds obvious, but make sure all screw up bits are done up tightly, and a high frame rate makes for smoother playback - 50 or 60 fps.

Re: Gopro mount
Hi, Thanks for the info, I think I'll try the Gopro roll bar mount with some sort of isolation between it and the roll bar.
Lets see how that goes.
