Roll bar mounts / brackets

Postby leegav » Sun Jun 19, 2016 8:12 pm

In prep for the body work transformation I'm on the hunt for some roll bar clamps / mounts which I can then drill and bolt rear wing stays to.....
Does anyone know where or who I could get something like this form....
Say NO to Pheasants !!! Body count = 3
Say NO to Blackbirds !!! Body count = 1
Say NO to Marmots !!! Body count = 1
Say NO to Squirrels!!! Body count = 1

Hi Lee,

Not 100% sure what you're trying to do, but if you want to clamp round a tube then bolt something to the clamp then these clamps intended for hanging pipes from might do the job; alternatively I'm talking bollox

I use the rubber lined version of those to hang the rack off, so they'll take the weight of my wife's luggage for a weekend ;)

Exhaust pipe clamps is another possibility, or were you looking for something more techie in an anodised aluminium sort of way?

I'd be very wary of mounting anything significant on the roll bar, particularly if it will sit above the roll bar height - the clue is in the name - roll bar - it's there to protect you in the event of a roll, so anything you mount on it, especially if it has sharp edges like a spoiler will, could turn into a lethal weapon - just imagine a large spoiler coming towards your head. with the weight of the car on it :o

Just something to bear in mind.
