what's on your floor
During the resent trip water gets into my foot wells.talking to others this seems to be a common fault with Westfield,,,at the moment I have carpet ,so once wet that's it...so my idea is to replace with rubber matting..what do others use ?....groved ect...martin

Wouldn't it be better to try and find the course ? Then you can put the carpet back.

Drill holes both side of the chassis rail in front of the seats where the water pools
And either do without flooring
Or use rubber matting.
Keep the carpet for when you sell the car

Re: what's on your floor
My Caterham gets wet floors in bad weather ( as my previous Elan and Westfield!). I think the best option is to have bare floors under the seats with a hole in each side so water can run out freely. You need something grippy in the foot well so rubber mats that can be easily removed are best there.

'foot slippage'....really? can't say i've ever noticed/had that even without rubber mats etc....you do know you're not supposed to put wd40 on your shoes?

1/4 inch holes do the job, and I have plastic trim clips that I seal them with normally. It is quite satisfying taking the clips out and watching the water pour out.
Which reminds me, I need to drill a hole in my seat!

Re: what's on your floor
Got Ali checker plate in the front section of mine that I can lift out to dry if needed and stops any foot slipperage and a few small holes in each floor section.
