After I blew up (possibly) the 40a Denso alternator on the Rogue Runners trip I found this:-

It's the 45a version - physically identical except that the electronic end is rotated 90deg - It appears to be a genuine Denso & works better than the old one ever did. The Co. seems to be importing the engines for Kubata diggers & selling the alternators off.
Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone wants one.
