Right Lady Luck works in strange ways. Short version of long story - have happened upon an upholsterer in North Kent ( Dartford area ) who is interested in doing tonneus/side doors and goodness knows what else.....
he's going to give me a quote for a kind of half hood to fit over the rollbar and seeems to know his stuff in terms of suggestions as to what could/won't work; so we'll see how the pricing goes!
I know that folks are often asking for suggestions on this score ...happy to pass this guys number on if anyone wants to give him a whirl.

As it happens I need loads of stuff, Half hood, doors etc.
Spoke to Jill at softbits yesterday, waiting for a price. I would have to see some of his work first. at least Softbits are of known quality.

Me three, need a tonneau/half doors, boot cover and storm cover. Club discount possibly? Be interested in waiting times some of these company's seem to take for ever.

FYI softbits are still going and tbf I received both the bits I ordered in the agreed timescale and even got email updates- can't beat them for quality IMO

the quality is indeed good, but its the custom things that imho cause the issues with s/bits...anyway, will report back on how i get on with this guy.

I'd be interested in a hood bag for the Fury - something that kits to the car & zips around the hood when it's down would be perfect, but I'm not sure how it would work. So if this guys good with ideas & the quality & price is reasonable, I'd be interested.

Had a reply from Softbits today, If my car will fit in their workshop (need to go measure it) then they can give me a price. They want to have it there for a week to do the work, same as they did for the Luego.

well my guy Simon popped round on Saturday and got busy with creating a template. Have to say i was impressed - he whizzed through getting it level, working out where certain fasteners would go and cutting/marking along the way.
Not sure how waterproof that version will be?
He's expecting to come round this coming weekend with a working template made out of cheap/thin material and we'll tweak the level of the side and rear parts, then he can get busy and make the final version.
I showed him a typical tonneu/half door and rear deck and he's def interested in getting involved with anyone that wants something knocked up.
he'll have a template for a tiger r6 cage for this type of hood after doing mine and that should be easily adapted for others that have a cage. Other bits n pieces will obviously be custom made/measured.

Mark are you considering a half roof as well? Over the cage?
