Propshaft U/J Problem

Postby andyf » Fri Jun 23, 2017 9:49 pm

I've fitted a new U/J to my propshaft all went together ok but it seems quite stiff, it's been a while since I fitted one so I'm not sure if it's normal...

Sounds like a mallet job. When we replaced them we always gave the flange a belt across the joint in all 4 directions of the uj or if the front it would be the yoke we hit.

Some hefty whacks with the copper headed mallet seems to have fixed it. Should be ok for tomorrow so long as I can get up in the morning!
