VIN Plate Weights

Hi all. Can some one please explain the weights on the VIN plate as shown in the pic? I get the 900kg is the amount the car can weigh when all loaded up and that the second from the top is blank because it can’t tow so zero kg. But what about the other 2?

What I really need is the weight to use for calculations when considering the weight for towing the car. Is it 425kg or 500kg?

Thanks

Chris

Hummmm. Going to have to break out the bathroom scales at this rate so I know how much the car actually weighs!

Yeah, that won't tell you what it actually weighs.

It'll be between 600>650 kg I bet.

Is it recorded as part of the IVA, so they can make sure the braking ratio is correct.

They are maximum axle weights. Our brake tester at work weighs the weight on each axle as you do a brake test and the weight is on the printout. You will probably struggle to get bathroom scales that go heavy enough. My car when I put it on a proper set of scales was 570kg but hasn't got a screen or heater

That's a good point. I'll have a look at the build file and see what's there. If not I think I'll try and find a weigh station (or what ever they are called) somewhere locally.

i'd have thought that a weighbridge would be about as accurate as taking the consensus that a westie with all the trimmings is likely to be between 600/630 (or whatever the consensus is)....as weighbridges are as far as i'm aware not particularly accurate.
you could always kill 2 birds and treat yourself to a full flat floor set up for the car, so that its perfectly set up for you during which they'll tell you what the overall weight is if you need to know to within a few kg's.

Weigh bridges have to be accurate and are checked by "weights and measures" to make sure that they are
