EU 2018, Banter thread..

Postby b33fy » Fri Feb 09, 2018 5:59 pm

I guess the main thread needs to be kept clear of drivel to aide the flow of sensible information, so I’ve created this thread for any meaningless waffle anyone cares to post..

I’ll start,

Picking up from the main thread, thanks Phil, looking forward to the trip, first one other than the French rally, done some time ago in the v-storm. 50-50 kit or daily at the moment. We’ll see how things pan out. Hoping to do a bit of photography whilst out there. Quite fancy picking up an Osmo and giving that a go, though would probably be better spending my money on a gimbal for the dslr.

Did a rough guesstimate on fuel consumption there and back. Might be cheaper to trailer the car

It would be good to get some ‘action shots’ and some pre placed go pros at points up ahead throughout the tour, ive got the dji spark drone this year which will involve a lot less set up time, roll on May

 I’ll leave the drone to Phil, Too expensive for me to crash. :D Be good to get some drone footage over some switchbacks or similar. I’m not a video expert though action shots off the cars would be good. Quite like the idea of some slow mo drifts, wheel spins etc  Most film clips are edited from vehicle mounted gear, be nice to do something different. I like Kenton’s diary approach and have a couple of ideas around that, to include all willing victims though avoiding a typical interview type approach. We should be able to do something good with Gopros, Osmo, drone and some good stills.
