Last summer we went to italy (10 day trip) in the viento. Only as far south as pisa, yes we did climb the tower. Also the car museum at moderna. Loads of mountain roads with little traffic, some of the hairpins are so tight mirrors are put up so you car cross to the wrong side of the road!!! kenton

Re: tuscany
Did you drive it all the way to Italy ? Or use the car train thing for part of the way. That's a long drive in a tintop let alone in the kitcar!!!!

Re: tuscany
Motorway was a bit of a slog but the objective of the trip was to drive in italy not france! A few years ago we went to paris and le mans for the 24hr in my first kit, a robinhood 2b. Once in italy we stuck to small roads. The locals loved the car and asked many questions (gf speaks italian) which made it easy. Good for ordering food! Didnt book any hotels in advance just stopped when we saw somewhere nice. Outside the ferarri museum in modena the car drew a small crowd.
3500 miles and no problems with the car, but managed to leave my fuel cap behind at a garage, (europa sell just the cap, it must happen alot!)

Re: tuscany
i will wait in wonder for someone to top that - what a fabulous idea and makes me ashamed that I have only gone as far as Croix en Ternois in France! That's all of 50 miles from Calais!
Definitely requires a re-think of taking the tiger down to the Nurburgring as the roads down there are made for 7's. Well done that man and, er, and a girlfriend that speaks italian - now that's a thought.....
