For the record....

Postby Phil N » Mon Apr 04, 2016 9:31 am

As the jungle drums are beating I thought I'd let those who don't know hear it from the horses mouth. Yesterday at the beginning of the run on the M23 I suffered an accident where the car spun and I hit the central reservation... quite hard. Firstly I am okay and feel extremely lucky to have walked away with just a sore neck. The car on the other hand is a different story. I can't explain how it happened because as far as I'm concerned it shouldn't have as I was simply changing from lane 1 to 2 when I lost control.
Thank you to all who were there who helped me out by moving the car, checking on me and taking me home (russ) and the follow up calls/texts/emails of concern, sorry the run was ruined. Now I will take some time to reflect & recover.

Just pleased you're OK Phil.

Cars can be repaired/replaced. Not so easy with your life/body!

Take care and hope to see you out when you're ready.

Thank God you are OK.

The car can be fixed later, get yourself mended first. (looks like it just needs a bit of t-cut :))
Actually although the damage looks bad the driver and passenger areas look fine, so must be a well designed car. Not sure mine would survive so well.

Best wishes and hope to see you again soon
Mike

It must have been terrifying, particularly as you don't know why it happened :(

So glad you're OK and I hope your neck is back to normal soon. The Westy does seem to have held up well.

If there's anything I can do to help, just ask :)
