Another Rant...........

Postby Tony C » Thu Jul 14, 2016 8:32 pm

The MOT is due on my son's Polo, so being the dutiful parent I go outside to help him check the basics before Saturday when the MOT is booked. One of the front sidelights has failed, simple job you would think.....but oh no, it seems our German friends have a sense of humour after all. Unless you are a dwarf gynaecologist there is no way to reach in to extract the tiny 5W lamp, instead you need to remove the fooking front grill and bumper to release the headlight unit. Have retired indoors for about of swearing before trying afresh tomorrow................I voted to stay 'in', but perhaps this was misguided

Sorry to maybe pee you off but not sure what model polo it is but on some models and actually all various makes and models there are access panels in the wheel arch liner so simply remove panel put hand in and extract said bulb.
Good luck

Same problem with my wife's KA had to take the wheel arch liner out to get at it.
