Not much been going on to show as I have been spending time on the loom and the fuel system at the rear which is now all sorted. Decided to cut a hole in the bulkhead to send the ecu loom through and bought a Mk2 Escort grommet...

The wires are now all wrapped in new conduit, I havent left them exposed like this :D

Managed to pick up a set of wheels on Ebay and just need to head of to Eastborne to get them....Image

Some of my next jobs are seat fitting, cambelt change and more wiring.....

A little more progress, I got the seats last week. Theyre actually out of my Zero that I built a few years ago. The guy that bought it put grp ones in and so I got these back from him for £70 the pair!

Stripped the dash out to wire in the ECU, I was surprised as I was expecting it to be a right mess back here but its one job that has been done really well.Image

New rims...

Started playing around with the Red Bull concept, I have so many vinyls that I can afford to try a few different things out.

Thats all for now folks!

It will work a lot better on 13" rims if they will fit.

Jeremy designed the Striker to use the compliance in a larger sidewall from a 13" tyre. Running low profile/larger wheels will not work as well.

OK mate, I'll keep these for the build / as spares and look for some 13's later. To be honest when I drove it home it was on 14's and the ride was harsh, really feckin harsh. It has the Spax coilovers and they are wound right out. Do you know how I can check my spring rates and perhaps get some softer ones? The Spax ones are the same as i have seen fitted to many Sylva cars so there must be a solution.

Cheers

A lot of folk up the spring rates from the factory advised rates - never understood why unless you only use it on a mirror-smooth track. The spring rate is often stamped on the ground-flat end of the spring. Of course that means taking it off the shock to find it. Don't know what's recommended for the Striker, but the Fury's essentially the same & the factory rates are 130lb & 180lb - for the IRS cars.

It's coming along nicely though isn't it? :D
