Mart, I'll refrain from the p!sstaking for just a second...

If I were in your shoes I'd be looking for a Sylva Striker, roadworthy ones can be found for about £3-4k. It'll probably have a x-flow or you might even get lucky and score one with a 4AGE :) Great car and great useable base for a project.
Current: Fisher Fury Spyder - 16v Toyota 4AGE
Previous: Road Runner SR2 Turbo - SOLD
Previous: Tiger Avon - Raceline Zetec-R

Having seen hammy's I would agree
MkII Marlin Roadster with Ford 2.0L Pinto and Type 9 gearbox. Going for the oily rag restoration look :-)

Four votes for a striker - or anything designed by Jeremy Phillips. If you get a striker, you can put a Phoenix shell on it if you fancy a change.

Mates selling his Fury. Its probably out of budget , but has a Mazda rotary turbo in it , spent a fortune and runs over 400 bhp, so is a bit lairy. All rebuilt engine and expensive bits in it. Took a prospective buyer who had a busa westie, crapped his pants and went home without it :D

Both on the bay Martin. Need IVA

Worth reading this thread before looking at that one!

I wouldn't touch a cheap kit car which isn't registered, it quite possible to spend a lot of money getting a car through IVA and without invoices it can be a nightmare.
