New roll bar for the Fury

Just picked up the Fury from Whitstable, Very happy with the work

Now MSA complient for Sprinting / Hillclimbs. Just need to spray it with some Por15

(Ignore the seatbelts, they are not normally fixed in that position)

Just FYI, those GoPro mounts are not acceptable at a MSA event. Camera mounts need to be metal.

Its not something he advertises but Its something he does on the side of his day job. Very knowledgable and a fair price too. Quick turn around as it took only a week.

I think its down to the scruitineer on that one Jeff, As its been used many times before

and yes, the previous roll bar met the hight required.. this one is even taller to achive the 30 degree angle on the back stays

To quote the blue book.

5.21.4. Where cameras are permitted but not mandated
by the Organiser, they may be mounted in any location
on the vehicle which is considered safe by the Chief
Scrutineer.

5.21.5. The mounting of any camera must be
specifically approved by the Chief Scrutineer. Any
mountings must use a mechanical means of
attachment sufficiently robust to withstand anticipated
stresses and vibration and must not present any sharp
edges or projections in the vicinity of the driver’s body
or helmet. Where possible, a secondary means of
attachment should also be used. Suction mounts are
not acceptable as the primary mounting method.
Where cameras are fitted by professional TV or film
companies, the Chief Scrutineer has discretion to
approve non-mechanical mountings.

A lot of people where being turned away at Scrutineering for plastic mounts. I can only tell you what I have seen happen recently.

In my experience the application of the regulations can be dependant on the scrutineer, given the wording that Patten posted it's very much open to opinion as to what constitutes a safe mount.
