Bike carbs
Anyone running bike carbs? I like the look of the Chester Sportcars kit and it would mean I dont need a fuel tank return. The map they supply is massively proven not to need a RR remap post build

Re: Bike carbs
I have got zx6r bike carbs on my car I could t tell you what bhp it makes as it's not been on a rolling road but it does go well. The only thing it could do with is the cable moving up the pedal a little bit or a bigger quadrant on the carbs as it's a bit sensitive although I've got used to it now.

I've got Honda Blackbird carbs on my car & like Matt I couldn't tell you what bhp it makes as it's not been on a rolling road but it too goes well enough for me - also got used to the 'loud' pedal as it's a bit sensitive due to short travel from zero to full throttle.

Re: Bike carbs
I've got ZX6R carbs as well, capable of 175bhp with the right jets and needles, which I don't have so probably running about 150bhp. The one thing I would say is get the petrol pump from the bike as it'll have a pressure cut off rather than rely on a normal fuel regulator.
Currently looking and going to injection but at the rate I work it'll be at least a year....

Re: Bike carbs
I've had the chester setup on my car since it was built.
megajolt with their map, and the carbs with the jets modified.
basic install
using one of the facet solid state pumps with a regulator near to the carbs.

Re: Bike carbs
Mine are from a YZF600 (same castings as other CVK -ZX6R etc) , my bog-standard 2.0 Zetec running a Megajolt Jnr was on a rolling road last year and was measured as .. peak power was 174bhp@6500 and torque 157lbft@5350 . The needles etc were sorted by we stuck with the same map I'd found on the net!

Re: Bike carbs
Chester did the conversion on my tiger Inc. Piper 285 cams.
It was RR & made 195bhp.
It was also on average 9 mpg better than on carbs
