Velcro

Anyone got any good suggestions for the sticky side to Velcro ?? Any stuff I’ve bought in the past isn’t sticky at all and doesn’t like being stuck to fibreglass, after something that will actually adhere to surfaces

I've found the self adhesive stuff is rubbish. If you want it to stay, buy standard sew on Velcro and use a good contact adhesive. Klebfest neoprene adhesive is good.

Duncan is right, in the past I've tried putting a smear of gorilla glue on the adhesive side and it still fell off.

2 suggestions Rob......
not sure the application you want it for...
the last hook and eye ( lets get technical) was spot on, it was a wider version that i just got off ebay.....

I used in a few places on the car and it was fine, but once i wasn't sure if i'd want it to be there permanently/leave a residue....so i put someclear vinyl on the fibreglass first and the velcro on top.....its still there after 4 years and is part of the passenger side fixing for the tonneau on the scuttle.

I’ve found the bond pretty strong on the big strips from CBS. Cut it to length and used it for seat pads on the JK’s.

I found that it doesn't stick to skin very well and those blinking sheep have a habit of getting away
