Guys,
Has anyone seen in the flesh the new GType Exocet by Stuart Mills of MEV? I've seen pics and read articles but am interested to hear from anyone thats seen it in person.

Cheers

I've never seen a MEV car actually on the road other than at Stoneleigh. I know they have sold lots of Exocets etc, probably due to the perceived ease of build. I've seen plenty on EBay with low mileages which suggests that once they are built and people actually drive them on the road, they realise just how impractical they are (and probably get home covered in road grime, cow poop etc.

I've never really understood the attraction of exoskeletal cars but then, I have the relative comfort of a Quantum 2+2 so maybe I'm spoiled.

Is that not part of kit car ownership, particularly in SKCC? :D :D :D

The Vstorm wasn’t good for skcc style blatting.. when it was working. The farm detritus was flung up from the front wheels through the sides and pebble dashed the inside of the car. The passenger, James, got it particularly bad. Perspex sheets were a common upgrade for the one or two that were on the road.
Power.. small nail, fast hammer, Torque.. small nail, big hammer.. I got a big hammer :P

I was having a talk with another fellow skcc the other day about MEV and the amount of chassis they say they have sold and how they keep changing them , now I have to ask with all the members within SKCC and he amount of people that they must know who has ever seen one of these cars apart from at a show.

That fellow SKCC’er Dick was talking to was me. The other thing about MEV for me is that Stuart Mills is a prolific designer and the amount of designs and the time it doesn’t take him to do it, I’m amazed the country isn’t awash with Mevs?

As Neil and Dick, I’m of the view it’s all a bit incongruent, we have one guy with an Exocet, only one I’ve seen on the road. Either the owners are a load of polishers or the figures have been talked up a bit..

Never sure about about the business intergrity of someone who writes books along the lines of how build a sports car and make money.. only one winner in my book.
