Sierra diff

The diff on my car whines and has done for a long time. I was thinking about rebuilding it later in the year and maybe putting a lsd in while I’m there. So my question is can I fit a lsd to a Sierra diff which has got push in driveshafts?
Or what is involved in changing to bolt in shafts is it just the shafts are different or are the hubs different as well?

I have a Titan lsd in my 7 inch Sierra diff which has push in shafts. Phil at Road and Race fitted it, and knows the best set up for Sevens. He has owned Caterhams.

Not cheap though.

My remanufactured diff supplied by Caterham whined, so I bought an original Ford one for Phil to rebuild. It works great but whines at exactly the same speed as the first one

I was looking at one of these blackline diffs and wondering if anyone had heard anything about them good/bad?

Matt I've just done this on my car. I have a 7" diff with push in shafts. I bought the 23 degree angle (for light cars) Quaife ATB from Burton which has been discounted recently to £480 down from £726. I took it to Road & Race Transmissions in Sevenoaks who fitted it as well as rebuilding the diff with new oil seals for £250.

Apparently some are quieter than others

My car drives well with no obvious backlash/drive shunt, and I find the whine almost disappears when wearing ear defenders

I have a 7” IRS diff with a Quaife ATB and it doesn’t whine???!
