Hello to you international travellers.
I’m going to get a friend to make me a luggage rack for the back of my Westfield.
A simple clamp around the roll bar and a leg that rests on top of the spare tyre to support the weight.
I think I can make one that comes further back than my boot lid so in effect comes over the top of the spare wheel, that makes sense ?
Before I start sketching for him I thought it smart to ask you touring guys and gals what you have
So here’s your BIG OPPORTUNITY lol
Post a shot of yer rear end fully loaded with tents etc lol
I’m looking for ideas.

Re: Luggage Rack ideas
So if you take a passenger do you strap him/her to the roll bar ? Chuckling
Maybe I should have also added that it’s for use when I have a passenger

Re: Luggage Rack ideas
When we did our Europe trip last year I had a soft bits bag which clips onto the down tubes of the roll bar. In addition we had two barrel bags which were a godsend. Managed to keep us both sweet smelling for the 17 days we were on the road. Neil (Nash) has I seem to remember has one got his MK Indy.

Re: Luggage Rack ideas
The reason Richard has to have everything wrapped around the roll bar, is because in his passenger compartment, he has a full set of tools, welder, spray compressor, two post car lift, pop up gazebo, tyre changing post, and balancer
He even has the tools to make a spax shock absorber, "just to get home with"

Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

Re: Luggage Rack ideas
OK, I'll be the sensible one
I have a light rack made from Alloy extrusion, at the front it attaches through two brackets bolted to the upper seat belt mounts, at the top a couple of pipe supports hold it to the top of the roll bar. It's made just the right width to poke through the zip-out rear window in the soft top & because it's all on quick-release fittings it goes on & comes off in seconds.
Full details on request - particularly good if you're having trouble sleeping.
