On my car it keeps breaking the gearbox mount I have replaced it a few times now and each time it breaks where it goes on to the tapered bit that fits onto the gearbox. It’s a mt75 gearbox.
I’ve checked and the angles match up so it’s not putting strain on it when I bolt it up.
Has anyone used the vibratecnics mount? Is it any good?
Or has anyone got any other ideas on how to cure the problem?

Re: Gearbox mount
I assume that still uses the cup under the middle section.
I find my cup was catching stuff as it hung down low so I cut a sections down and reduced it profile if it that that causing it.

Re: Gearbox mount
I’ve got this type mount https://www.burtonpower.com/std-gearbox ... t9400.html
And it keeps breaking the bit that goes on the gearbox which then let’s it drop in the rubber.
I’ve just picked up this type from caterham as I was going past

Looks like it will fit the gearbox just need to make a plate to adapt the mount bolt holes down to the mount

I have the second type, so far it has lasted 40000+ miles and it is under tension when all the bolts are tightened up too.

Re: Gearbox mount
So I’ve gone for the second one that I mentioned before. My theory on this is it’s the one that caterham seem to use and it looks stronger so should be ok. I’ve had to make up a plate to bolt it to, to make up the difference in size. It still needs a bit of trimming to size.
