So Rich you are gradually narrowing the issues down and the area you need to look at. Top work as normal Rich, well done Matt as well for you input.
Let us know how the drive goes Richard.

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
Last nights 15 min drive round the local streets was obviously limited by speed, but certainly revs through to 3000 unlike it has for a long time, few coughs and splutters and even though it revs it won’t hold the revs but due to the busy streets unable to do too much.
Plan now is to have another look through the ECU settings, take it up and down a 40 mph section that not too far away and quiet at the weekend and maybe play with a few things.
Maybe progress to motorway area is successful

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
Richard just an idea really, not sure if it would work.
Could you not get Matt down plug the lappy in and go for a drive ? this might show more info and live data as you drive ? not sure what that may achieve but it might not hurt.

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
So after having issues with locals on my planned test drive a few weeks ago I decided to cut it short to a 70mph test and then to leave the Locost alone ( apart from a bit of email chess with ME ), till my planned visit to BD Engineering today knowing I could manage motorway speeds.
Gave me a chance to try out the sun cap, well I did not blow off but certainly funnelled more air through the cockpit and felt like I was in a wind tunnel stuck on 11, given I have realised I am sat higher up than most the aero is certainly still on trial.
After dropping off a loaned set of 45s at Dicks I arrived at BD as he was just about to test drive a jag so I had a chance to clear out the extras I had in the car.
After a chat regarding history and issues we moved the car in the booth and I left him to it for 90 mins during which time he did a few runs with the sounds getting better each time.
Once he came into see me he reports some unstableness with the new tps, does not like the sock filers as restricted the air flow too much on my set up, but had managed to reduce the heavy over fueling that it started with.
I gave it a test drive and declared it a big improvement over what it was with some hesitations if stabbing on the pedal
Once all paid and repacked my gear I took a roof less drive home with the car feeling more responsive and cruising much better and a feeling that it had used less fuel than I would have beforehand.
Now need to work on maybe an air box with a mesh on it and a recheck of the tps wiring and fitting then get some miles on it .

Little video on how I have come up with a quick fix, zero cost solution to the inlet filter issue.
