Hello from Haslemere, Surrey.

Hello from an MK Indy (part) owner in Haslemere, Surrey.

Me and a friend have recently jointly purchased an MK Indy (which reduced the purchase and running costs) with the view to using the car for a fun weekend "blatter" and as a "project" car to get our heads around working on the mechanics.

We have had a few outtings in the car over the past few weeks (purchased the car early Feb) and have already had great fun (and the summer hasn't even really started yet)!!!

We are planning on joining the 6th March members run (will post on there in a moment) and look forward to meeting and chatting with you all!!!

The car is Pinto powered (2 ltr) and so far has had engine timing sorted (to cure mis-fires), brakes bled (after a brake light pressure switch change) and engine mounts changed (to Land Rover V8 items), we also have a large port head to fit which came with a KentCams FR32, but are holding off as I'm not sure the standard Weber carb will be able to deliver enough air/fuel to run it.

My girls love the car (I have three girls aged between 10 and 15), but the wife isn't so sure

I fully expect the other part owner to join the club very soon and add his comments also, so watch this thread...

In the meantime here are a couple of photos (one of which shows yours truely - sorry :) )

Cheers,
Terry.

welcome, to a fellow pinto owner.
This lot will soon have you thinking of a Zetec but do not give in.
I to have built and owned the car with mate for same reasons that has worked out well
Hope to see you soon.

So a new member on a route we haven't done before - that'll be the "N" photo sorted then. Terry, don't be surprised if lots of people want to take your picture when we stop for food.
