So you've just joined, why not say a few words to introduce yourself - a bit about you, your car - whatever!

Yeah, the Phoenix is a nice car. Any particular example you have in mind? The one on PH is a bit above my budget (more than 9K!)

Ooh, another nice (?) Fury on Pistonheads: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2825100.htm. Don't know about the engine, though. Variable Valve Control sounds cool, 160 HP sounds plenty, but it's a Rover engine, so it'll blow up?

Cheers,
Mattijs

Jees that's a lousy picture isn't it?

The Rovers had a reputation for blowing head gaskets & as the head bolts go righ through & hold the sump on, changing the gasket isn't as easy as it might be. I know next to nothing about the K series, but allegedly the gasket issue has been solved by using a higher spec gasket, so you'd have to do a little reasearch on the net - should be easy, lots of MGFs & Caterhams still around - & find out exactly what the right bits are & then you can look at the Fury armed with the right info.

My wife had an mgf and 1600 pounds lighter after engine cambelt jumped off
If you have money to waste buy a rover engine.

Tony, not really set, no. I had actually seen that Tiger on Pistonheads, and it's one of my favourites because of the colour scheme. I really like that orange and black combination. Pretty awesome specification as well, but unfortunately also above my budget. Just a bit, though... Oh well, who knows?
