JasonB saying Hi

Postby JasonB » Sat Mar 10, 2012 8:33 pm

Hello all,
just picked up my Locost today.

A big Thankyou to Mark (Greenwoo) who has been a great help already. Recommended Barry at Frank Pickles Insurance and also the great deal on glasses....will order those in the week.

So....Locost 3.9 V8, bought from the builder, Simon, who has been putting his skill, pride & passion into this car for nearly ten years.

I drove it for first time on the way home today........very addictive!

Me.....40 year old just getting his first toy!!
Live near maidstone, so seem to be pretty central to quite a few of you and your local runs. Would love to come on a few runs, however, between work and kids fear I may not be out on a regular basis.........also have to get used to driving the 'little car', hear they can bite if you dont behave.

So....think I will be busy tinkering with the car for next few weekends/ years!!

Welcome Jason :)

How about a picture of your car?
With 3.9L do you need more than one gear?

Hi,
will get some pictures up soon....how do you upload them and post on here...a bit of a novice.

Quite a bit of tidying to do on the car, never the less it is ...fabulous.

The 3.9L does pull very well, the twenty min drive home after buying the car was very entertaining.

Oh, yes...sounds pretty special.

Cant wait for tomorrow, will make time to take it out.

Hi Jason, and welcome to the SKCC! That's a lot of engine for such a small car! Must sound awesome, though...

Cheers,
Mattijs

Hello Jason, welcome along. Best way to get to grips with your car is to get out and drive it, even if that's not so frequently as some. All levels of "enthusiasm" catered for, so don't be shy.
