I'm also in Guildford (Rydes Hill ish) & have a garage full of spanners, saws, jacks etc, fear not there's nothing much to learn, we're all happy to help - other people's cars are so much more interesting.

Lots of little jobs to do, most of which I should be ok with (oil needs changing, horn needs replacing), but the good thing is its on the road!
I am sure I will be asking for some advice and help before long!
